I am the mother of two great girls and the wife of the perfect man!:) He would blush at me saying that, so I'll say, the perfect man for me! I have the priveledge of staying home with my two girls, Lilly and Maggie. Here's what makes me smile: Maggie trying to negotiate daily on why having some candy will actually make her be better, feel better, jump higher, think better, etc. Then Lilly reverting back to her baby days and drinking from a bottle and sucking on a pacifier (but just for pretend). However, is it pretend when she asks for a bottle for every meal:) These are the days I will remember forever! In short, life is GOOD!!
--Lilly, "Mom, Can I get a movie with the rats squirrels in it?" me: who? Lilly The rats squirrel like that eat acorns." me: like alvin and the chipmunks? Lilly, no like the barbies. mom: Oh, I know what you mean (to myself: a bratz girls). We won't tell her the real name, they kind of are rats squirrels!!
--Maggie, "Mom coletta in spanish means "wuv mom and dad."
--Maggie (in the car), "The hot air blowing on me makes me cough."
--Maggie, "Sometimes when I hit my head, my pinkie hurts."
LIVE FOR TODAY
I started this blog just to say, "ok I've done it." But, the more I do, the funner it gets to look at the pictures and remember the moments. I've thought a lot about life with my husbands and kids over the past few years, and I am finally learning what it means to "live in the moment." About five years ago, I had a wife of one of our stake leaders say that if she could go back, she would let the laundry, dishes and housekeeping wait and go out and be with her family. That message has haunted me for a while. It so happens that the events in life happen for a reason and through our family's events I have learned (gratefully) earlier than later the truth of that statement. So, this blog will help me always remember to live for today. Isn't it true that too soon, these precious moments are gone!
